Site Reliability Engineer (Fintech)

Location: St. Petersburg, Florida, United States; based at the Global HQ with in-person collaboration.

Base salary: $90,000–$115,000 annually, plus a discretionary bonus and full benefits.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain AWS production environments across multiple regions, including EC2, VPC, ELB/ALB, Route 53, S3, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache, MSK, and EKS, targeting 99.99% availability for 24/7 trading operations.
• Build and tune monitoring, logging, and alerting with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/OpenSearch; define SLIs/SLOs and reduce alert noise.
• Participate in on-call rotation, lead L2/L3 troubleshooting for cloud and network incidents, and drive root-cause analysis and follow-up actions.
• Provision infrastructure through Terraform, CloudFormation, and GitOps; operate Kubernetes clusters with upgrades, capacity planning, autoscaling, Helm, and ArgoCD deployments.
• Manage cloud security, networking, backup, cross-region failover, disaster-recovery runbooks, compliance remediation, and cloud-cost optimization.
• Develop Python, Shell, and Lambda automation tooling, with opportunities to use Go and AI-assisted runbooks for repetitive operational tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in cloud operations, SRE, or DevOps, including 3+ years running production workloads on AWS.
• Solid knowledge of AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, ELB, Route 53, RDS, CloudWatch, and EKS.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills, with knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPN, and TLS.
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD.
• Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with MySQL, Redis, and Kafka in production environments.
• Experience in broker-dealer, electronic trading, or other regulated financial environments, plus willingness to join on-call rotation and support global trading sessions outside regular hours when needed.

Nice to have

• Go programming experience.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or CKA certification.
• Experience with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and landing-zone design.
• Interest in using AI agents or LLMs for operational automation.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English for collaboration with global engineering hubs.
