Program Manager II (Defense)

Location: Onsite in Minden, Louisiana, United States; travel up to 30%, including possible overnight travel to customer sites, industry conferences, and program reviews.

Base salary: $110,000–$120,000 per year, excluding benefits, bonuses, and incentives.

What you will do

• Lead execution of a portfolio of 3–5 projects involving solid rocket motors, chemicals, and explosives.
• Develop coordinated plans covering scope, schedules, cost estimates, risks, and resource requirements.
• Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, clients, and government agencies.
• Monitor budgets and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage and communicate scope changes in line with program goals and customer expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or management, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in project or supply chain management and operations.
• Experience managing defense or government projects.
• Experience negotiating contracts with vendors, suppliers, or customers.
• Experience using project management software to manage schedules and budgets.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must meet eligibility requirements for applicable state and federal explosives licenses, including being at least 21 years old, completing required background investigations, and working in a drug-free workplace.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR and EAR requirements or be eligible to obtain the required U.S. export authorizations.
