Quality Assurance Engineer (AI/Cybersecurity)

Location: New York City headquarters or remote within the U.S.

Salary: $120K–$150K base salary annually, plus equity; eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Own test planning and execution for APIs, SDKs, the web app, and real-time voice and video integrations from requirements review through release sign-off.
• Build and maintain API, end-to-end, and regression automation suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Document, track, and triage defects with clear reproduction steps, severity, and impact through resolution.
• Test real-time detection reliability and performance across latency, load, audio and video quality, platforms, and devices.
• Maintain release test data and media sets, and support AI Research and Red Team model-release validation and regression testing.
• Support customer issue reproduction and triage while contributing to QA standards, documentation, release checklists, metrics, and mentoring.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software QA or quality engineering, including testing web applications and APIs in a fast-moving release environment.
• Hands-on experience writing automated tests in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar using frameworks such as Pytest, Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Experience testing REST APIs with tools such as Postman or code-based API tests.
• Experience working within CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions.
• Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to finding edge cases.
• Clear written communication for actionable bug reports and test plans.
• Ability to own QA for multiple product areas with minimal oversight, establish quality metrics, improve QA tooling and practices, and take on broader scope.

Nice to have

• Experience testing audio, video, or real-time communication products, including WebRTC, telephony, or conferencing.
• Experience testing ML-powered products or working with test datasets.
• Exposure to performance or load testing tools such as k6, Locust, or JMeter.
