Industrial Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Columbus, Mississippi, United States; onsite. Occasional second-shift availability is required. Candidates must already have US work authorization permitting employment with hirify.global.

hirify.global's NEMA Motors Division manufactures electric NEMA motors across seven global manufacturing locations, producing more than 1.6 million motors annually.

What you will do

• Support production startup and ramp plans through project management and technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning.
• Assist with preparing proposals and presentations for engineering projects.
• Perform design verification using checklists, applicable standards, and engineering guidelines.
• Create and maintain manufacturing process documentation, including facility layouts, process flow charts, capacity and utilization studies, takt time assessments, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis, line balancing, and labor routings.
• Optimize production systems, improve labor productivity, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency through data-driven analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Existing US work authorization that permits employment with hirify.global.
• Availability to work occasional second shifts.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma certification, Lean, Kaizen, and root cause analysis experience.
• Project management experience or PMP certification.
• Experience with SAP, ProPlanner, FlexSim, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Plan for Every Part (PFEP), value stream mapping, and labor routings.
