Industrial Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $84,460–$148,992 USD per year, depending on level and experience.

What you will do

• Design and maintain factory and production-area layouts, floor plans, and work-center configurations.
• Lead future-state factory design and capacity planning as production scales from development to rate production.
• Evaluate layout options, space trades, work-center sizing, and production-flow improvements with manufacturing and operations teams.
• Conduct process walks, time and motion studies, and value-stream analyses to identify bottlenecks and simplify or standardize processes.
• Develop tools and analyses for delivery, capacity, cost, throughput, and cycle-time decisions.
• Execute complex manufacturing improvement projects with hands-on ownership and cross-functional leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 1 year of professional or internship experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with factory layout design, capacity modeling, and process mapping is preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export-control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in industrial, operations, or manufacturing engineering within a fast-paced developmental or early-production environment.
• Experience supporting the transition from development through rate production.
