Communications Manager (Financial Services)

Location: Saint Petersburg, Florida, United States; hybrid workstyle; travel less than 25%

What you will do

• Lead and support complex, enterprise-level communications initiatives with significant scope and impact.
• Serve as a cross-functional communications liaison, coordinating internal and external messaging and identifying dependencies, gaps, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead or support communications workstreams for enterprise initiatives, corporate development integrations, and issue and crisis management.
• Translate business objectives into integrated communications strategies, plans, and messages for key stakeholder audiences.
• Coordinate stakeholders, resolve dependencies, maintain momentum across multiple priorities, and monitor communications effectiveness.
• Collaborate with communications leadership, senior management, risk management functions, business partners, and internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Completed bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations.
• 3–6 years of general work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of communications procedures and technologies, internal and external communications strategies and channels, enterprise communications planning, message development, and stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of financial services industry practices, issues, and regulatory environment.
• Skill in strategic communications planning, message development and execution, leading complex cross-functional initiatives, stakeholder coordination, and using data and insights to inform communications decisions.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, manage ambiguity and changing priorities, maintain effective relationships, and communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to collaborate with senior management, risk management functions, and business partners; lead complex initiatives; manage competing priorities; and maintain momentum across multiple workstreams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint sufficient to create documents, spreadsheets, emails, and substantial presentations.
• Ability to remain current on issues and regulations affecting the firm and financial services industry, and represent Marketing and the firm at internal and external events.
