Communications & Engagement Specialist (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain an integrated communications and stakeholder engagement plan across design, construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Coordinate communications for project teams, leadership, functional stakeholders, contractors, community organizations, and government entities through newsletters, announcements, presentations, town halls, dashboards, and digital platforms.
• Prepare executive communications, briefing materials, leadership presentations, key messages, speeches, and stakeholder updates.
• Support community, government, educational, economic development, and other external stakeholder engagement activities, including meetings, forums, site visits, milestone celebrations, and ceremonies.
• Develop workforce engagement and change management communications supporting collaboration, recognition, safety culture, diversity and inclusion, team-building, and adoption of project changes.
• Create and manage communications content, track stakeholder feedback and engagement metrics, and recommend improvements to project leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in project communications, corporate communications, public relations, stakeholder engagement, or a related role.
• Excellent written, verbal, editing, and presentation skills.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, and other communication and collaboration platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience supporting executive communications and event coordination is desirable.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting large capital projects, construction programs, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or other GMP-regulated facilities.
• Prior experience in an Owner’s Representative or PMC role for major capital projects exceeding $500 million TIC.
• Community engagement, government relations, or public affairs support.
• Development of digital communications, newsletters, websites, and social media content.
• Experience working with EPC/EPCM project delivery organizations and owner-led capital programs.
