What you will do

• Lead hirify.global’s UK regulated entity, owning its strategy, commercial performance, governance, financial resources, and regulatory obligations.
• Lead the FCA authorisation process for cryptoasset services and act as the primary contact for regulatory engagement, assessments, and interviews.
• Establish UK-based governance, local decision-making authority, management oversight, accountability, and effective three-lines-of-defence arrangements.
• Oversee prudential compliance across e-money and cryptoasset activities, including capital and liquidity adequacy, fixed overhead requirements, forecasting, stress testing, and wind-down planning.
• Lead UK commercial teams, oversee cryptoasset, e-money, payment services, marketing, financial promotions, and Consumer Duty compliance.
• Build and lead the UK senior management team, work with the Board, Mastercard, hirify.global leadership, and control functions, and represent hirify.global UK with regulators and strategic stakeholders.

Requirements

• Significant senior executive leadership experience within a UK-regulated financial services business, ideally with a previous FCA-approved SMF1 or SMF3 position.
• Experience running or holding substantial executive accountability within a regulated entity, including FCA engagement and regulatory governance.
• Strong knowledge of the UK financial services regulatory environment, including the Senior Managers and Certification Regime, governance requirements, and individual accountability.
• Experience in payments, electronic money, cryptoassets, digital assets, or a closely related financial services sector, including understanding of risks associated with cryptoasset custody and trading.
• Knowledge of prudential requirements, including capital and liquidity adequacy, fixed overhead requirements, financial resource planning, stress testing, and wind-down planning.
• Understanding of Consumer Duty, financial promotions, and related governance and oversight requirements.
• Experience developing and executing commercial strategies while maintaining regulatory controls and financial discipline.
• Ability to lead cross-functional senior management teams and oversee complex operational, financial, regulatory, risk management, governance, and three-lines-of-defence activities.
• Experience working within a wider group structure while balancing group strategy and shared services with local regulatory accountability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including direct engagement with regulators, Board members, and senior executives.
• Ability to meet FCA Senior Manager fitness and propriety standards, including honesty, integrity, competence, capability, and financial soundness.
• Willingness and ability to be based in the UK full-time.
