Software Tester

Location: Remote-first in the United Kingdom; hybrid work is optional, with a desirable willingness to attend the Portsmouth office monthly.

Salary: £32K–£38K per year.

What you will do

• Review requirements and acceptance criteria, identify test scenarios and risks, and plan testing throughout development and delivery.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, end-to-end and API testing across customer-facing products and interconnected systems.
• Test HubSpot and Salesforce integrations, validating behavior across connected systems.
• Create and maintain test cases, test data, regression suites and supporting documentation; record defects with evidence, reproduction steps and expected outcomes.
• Retest fixes, support release readiness and production validation, and provide visibility into coverage, defects and release risks.
• Investigate recurring failures and contribute to security, performance, accessibility, usability, reliability, stability, automation and quality-pipeline practices.

Requirements

• Experience in software testing, quality assurance or test engineering, including planning and executing tests against requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Hands-on proficiency testing HubSpot and Salesforce integrations.
• Experience recording, investigating and retesting defects, testing interconnected products and services, and supporting release readiness for customer-facing products.
• Strong manual testing, problem-solving and investigation skills.
• Experience testing complex, customer-facing business applications and knowledge of security, performance, accessibility, usability, reliability and stability testing.
• Awareness of automated testing and delivery practices, with willingness to develop these skills over time.
• Experience working collaboratively with developers and product colleagues, with clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain quality risks and technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical colleagues.

• Experience testing different product types and user journeys, features with variable outputs, and emerging testing approaches.
• Relevant quality assurance certification or equivalent professional development.
• Pragmatic, data-driven working style with the ability to balance delivery pace and appropriate quality controls.
