Sr Back-End Facilities Development Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Chandler or Phoenix, Arizona, or Hillsboro, Oregon, United States. This position is not eligible for hirify.global immigration sponsorship.

Annual salary: $140,830–$198,820 USD.

What you will do

• Develop and qualify back-end facilities technologies for next-generation packaging tools supporting advanced microprocessor and system-on-chip manufacturing.
• Implement and standardize capacity management processes, including FASTR and Pipeflo, across back-end facilities worldwide.
• Lead What-If analyses and collaborate with Strategic Planning, Construction, engineering teams, contractors, and global suppliers.
• Design and execute facility engineering experiments to evaluate, model, and optimize utility equipment, factory systems, and configuration footprints.
• Maintain hirify.global Master Design Specification and operations specification documents for technology transfer and startup activities.
• Design utility expansions and infrastructure upgrades, manage contractor schedules, improve energy efficiency, and prepare compliance documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related STEM discipline.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in facilities engineering, high-tech infrastructure design, or industrial utilities development.
• Experience with industrial facility systems, including chemical or gas delivery, instrumentation and controls, electrical distribution, mechanical or HVAC systems, life safety systems, or water treatment.
• Experience interpreting mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, utility capacity models, and project cost estimation data.
• Experience executing projects in compliance with high-tech building codes and environmental health and safety regulations.
• Strong technical leadership, consensus-building, cross-functional collaboration, analytical problem-solving, and adaptability in a fast-paced technology and construction environment.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience standardizing capacity management processes such as FASTR or Pipeflo across multiple manufacturing locations.
• 2+ years of experience managing project cost estimation, facilities budget planning, and long-term infrastructure forecasting.
• 2+ years of experience onboarding and qualifying technical equipment suppliers.
