Design Engineer | Range Area Seating - Comfort Platform (Textile Development)

What you will do

• Develop new textiles, comfort solutions, and technical solutions for beds, sofas, mattresses, and other seating products.
• Work with current technologies, new materials, suppliers, and partners within and beyond the team.
• Develop, verify, and document solutions for the hirify.global range.
• Explore simulation tools, robust verification methods, and new ways of working.
• Contribute to standardisation, optimisation, cost reduction, product improvement, and the future roadmap.
• Balance quality and price while considering design and sustainability objectives.

Requirements

• Experience and knowledge in textile development, with a strong understanding of production and materials.
• Experience in product development involving textiles for mattresses or upholstered furniture.
• A university degree in textile engineering or equivalent competence.
• Strong knowledge of production and materials, including knitted and woven textiles.
• Strong knowledge of textile requirements development.
• Commitment to problem-solving and the ability to explore new perspectives.
• Curiosity, courage to explore new solutions, ownership, delivery focus, and effective collaboration.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of ARANE.
• Experience working with PLUS documentation.
• Basic knowledge of pattern making.
• Basic knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD software.
