Mechanical Design Engineer - Gas Turbine Components

Location: Hybrid role associated with Orlando, Florida and Charlotte, North Carolina, United States.

What you will do

• Design and develop gas turbine, combustion, and turbomachinery components from concept through production.
• Create 3D models, PMI drawings, GD&T documentation, and engineering specifications using Siemens NX, Creo, or similar CAD platforms.
• Support product development, manufacturing readiness, design improvements, supplier qualification, and new product introduction.
• Collaborate with suppliers, sourcing, manufacturing, project management, and engineering teams to optimize performance, quality, and cost.
• Lead technical problem-solving and continuous product improvement efforts.
• Provide technical guidance to global manufacturing and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, product development, turbomachinery, aerospace, or rotating equipment.
• Experience with CAD modeling software such as Siemens NX.
• Knowledge of GD&T, PMI, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering organizations.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
• U.S. citizenship or nationality, U.S. permanent residency, refugee status, or asylum status is required under export control regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with gas turbines, turbomachinery, combustion systems, aerospace engines or propulsion hardware, high-temperature components and structures, manufacturing engineering, supplier development, NPI, or rotating equipment.
