Data Scientist (AI)

What you will do

• Develop critical business inputs using industry standards, emerging methodologies, empirical research, and analytical approaches.
• Deliver end-to-end data solutions by understanding complex business challenges, designing solutions, and working with internal and third-party data.
• Develop predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning and generative AI techniques.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis and contribute to data-driven decision-making across multiple business functions.
• Collaborate with data scientists, technical disciplines, product teams, business teams, and the wider data and analytics community.
• Communicate the business value, methods, and insights of analytical solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in a STEM or closely related field, or equivalent experience.
• Practical data science experience applying analytical techniques to solve business problems and deliver valuable insights.
• Experience conducting data analysis, experimentation, and model development to address business challenges.
• Experience using statistical analysis, machine learning, generative AI, and data science techniques to identify trends, generate insights, and support business decisions.
• Experience with analytical tools, programming languages, and databases such as Python and SQL.
• Working knowledge of generative AI technologies, including large language models, prompt engineering, AI-assisted coding tools, and agentic AI workflows.
• Ability to critically review, validate, and take ownership of AI-assisted work so that solutions are accurate, explainable, and fit for purpose.
• Strong grounding in statistical concepts and their practical application, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in small cross-functional teams.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills for communicating technical concepts and insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn and apply engineering best practices, including version control, testing, code review, and reproducible development workflows.

• Experience in finance or insurance.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform.
