Senior Frontend Software Engineer (React)

Location: Remote within Australia or New Zealand, with sufficient timezone overlap with the team

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain product and platform services, infrastructure, software libraries, tools, and applications powering hirify.global Cloud.
• Develop always-on, low-latency, high-concurrency micro-services and systems that scale for millions of users.
• Design, implement, integrate, tune, and troubleshoot new micro-services, libraries, tools, and applications.
• Contribute to greenfield projects and technologies across hirify.global products and help shape the hirify.global Cloud Platform.
• Work with developers and designers to create simple, consistent user experiences for web applications.
• Validate user-focused assumptions through testing and collaborate using agile and lean practices.

Requirements

• Strong experience and deep knowledge of JavaScript and ReactJS.
• Understanding of how to build performant, decoupled, testable, and maintainable code.
• Interest in open source and learning new technologies.
• Willingness to share knowledge and work collaboratively with teammates.

Nice to have

• Ability to write components in plain JavaScript or TypeScript and use existing libraries appropriately.
• Familiarity with React and ES6 features.
• Industry experience with public cloud offerings such as AWS, GAE, or Azure.
• Understanding of web application, SOA, and micro-services patterns.
• Knowledge of open source libraries, tools, and frameworks for logging, wiring, testing, or building.
• Ability and willingness to learn new programming languages, frameworks, and paradigms.
