Solution Architect

Location: Elsbethen, Salzburg, Austria; onsite, full-time. Travel: 0–10%.

Salary: EUR 2,535 gross per month minimum; actual compensation is market-oriented and significantly above the stated minimum.

What you will do

• Translate business needs into end-to-end solution designs, defining components, technology choices, integration patterns, and non-functional requirements.
• Assess solution fit within the existing IT landscape and identify required new capabilities.
• Apply architecture principles, identify risks and dependencies, document decisions, and support architecture governance.
• Advise business experts, platform teams, implementation teams, and external partners throughout delivery, including vendor and RFI/RFP assessments.
• Improve shared technical services, integration capabilities, runtime platforms, target architectures, reference architectures, and architectural guidelines.

Requirements

• Around 5 years of professional experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or a senior technical role such as lead engineering.
• Proven experience designing and delivering end-to-end solutions across enterprise technology environments.
• Solid understanding of cloud and enterprise application landscapes, including APIs, messaging, and data flows.
• Ability to assess security, scalability, resilience, performance, cost, and operational readiness.
• Strong systems thinking and sound judgment when balancing business needs, delivery speed, complexity, and risk.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative, pragmatic approach with business and technology stakeholders, including the ability to constructively challenge assumptions and explain trade-offs.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP or other major enterprise platforms.
• Experience with architecture documentation, design reviews, or vendor assessments.
