Consolidation Accountant

What you will do

• Prepare and review group and multi-layered sub-consolidations, including consolidation journals and reclasses, while coordinating financial data collection and validation across finance teams.
• Manage IFRS 16 lease accounting, including recognition, measurement, disclosure, and lease data ownership within the consolidation system.
• Provide technical accounting expertise on debt, foreign exchange, and equity transactions, and prepare technical accounting papers for management and auditors.
• Draft and review financial statement notes in line with IFRS and UK statutory requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements across consolidation and financial reporting.
• Prepare year-end audit schedules, liaise with auditors, and support internal control and governance compliance.

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant with 2–3 years of relevant experience in consolidation and technical accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 16, and UK financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in financial consolidation systems, particularly Tagetik, and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and high-quality output.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative working style.

Nice to have

• Experience in a UK-listed company or similar environment.
