Senior Principal Engineer - Agentic Security (AI)

What you will do

• Define security architecture, standards, and guardrails for agentic and AI-powered systems across engineering teams.
• Lead the design of an agentic identity broker covering authentication, authorization, least-privilege access, auditability, and safe default controls for humans, services, and agents.
• Evolve threat modeling and risk assessment for agentic systems, including prompt injection, excessive agency, data exfiltration, and model and tool supply-chain risks.
• Partner with Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and Risk on acceptable-use policies, AI approval processes, and governance forums.
• Mentor principal engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide hands-on input into code and technical designs.
• Track developments in agentic AI, LLM security, AI regulation, and the threat landscape, incorporating them into standards, governance, and the hirify.global Tech Radar.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of security architecture, industry trends, and scaling security practices across a large organization.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML and agentic systems security, including LLM integration patterns, tool use and function calling, prompt injection, agent identity and authorization, and guardrails, or a strong security architecture background with the ability to develop deep expertise in this domain.
• Solid understanding of IAM, cloud security, containerization technologies, and secure software development practices.
• Excellent communication skills and experience leading organization-wide security collaborations.
• Ability and eagerness to understand business context and customer problems.
• Broad experience in software engineering or adjacent fields involving large-scale engineering projects.
