Principal Security Architect (AI)

Location: Fully remote worldwide; work within a ±1 CET time frame. Candidates based in Mauritius can work anywhere on the island with typically weekly in-person collaboration at the Port Louis office. Candidates in Italy or nearby may use the Milan and Bologna offices for hybrid work.

What you will do

• Own the security strategy, roadmap, posture, and architecture for the platform, cloud infrastructure, internal systems, and code.
• Lead AI security, including compliant internal AI use, security of product AI features, and defenses against AI-powered attacks.
• Embed secure development practices through code review standards, dependency management, automated security testing, threat modeling, and risk assessments.
• Lead technical and coordinated incident response, maintain the incident response plan, and implement lessons learned.
• Own cybersecurity, data protection, technology, and AI risks in the enterprise risk management portfolio and drive mitigation to closure.
• Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, control company data and access, support audits and customer security reviews, and coach engineers.

Requirements

• Significant experience in security engineering or security architecture, ideally in a SaaS environment.
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure security and application security.
• Hands-on understanding of AI and LLM risks, including prompt injection, data leakage, and model supply chain risks.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR from a security perspective.
• Experience managing risks in an enterprise risk register or framework such as ISO 31000, including likelihood and impact scoring and mitigation tracking to closure.
• Experience building and testing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and explain risk in business terms.
• Fluent English.
