Intern - Data Analytics (Python/SQL)

Location: Biñan City, Laguna, Philippines; onsite at the Biñan HICAP Office. Internship duration: 3–6 months. Target start dates: January 11/12, April 1, or May 24/25, 2027.

Develops large-scale storage systems and infrastructure for AI-driven data environments, including hyperscale data centers, cloud platforms, and enterprise infrastructure.

What you will do

• Support the development of operational dashboards and engineering reports for slider processing and HGA assembly operations.
• Extract, clean, and explore manufacturing datasets.
• Write Python scripts or SQL queries to automate manual reporting tasks and create analytical outputs.
• Collaborate with engineers to understand data needs and translate them into reports, visualizations, and tools.
• Complete a defined analytics internship project and present the results.
• Participate in structured learning and regular check-in sessions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Engineering with a strong analytics or programming focus, or a related field, with minimum 3rd-year standing.
• Proficiency in Python and/or SQL.
• Demonstrated data analysis or data visualization experience through academic projects, competitions, personal projects, or similar experience.
• Available for a 3–6 month internship that is required or allowed by the academic program for academic credit.
• Ability to develop dashboards and visualizations, ask questions, and explore data independently.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to explain data insights clearly and effectively.
• Collaborative, proactive, and willing-to-learn mindset.

Nice to have

• Coursework in machine learning, data mining, or statistical modeling.
• Portfolio of data-related projects on GitHub, Kaggle, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent data visualization tools.
• Exposure to manufacturing, operations, or engineering data.
