Deployment Engineer

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Malaysia; hybrid/on-site with 24/7 operational and on-site support as required.

What you will do

• Manage field operations for installations, maintenance, upgrades, and fault restoration across APAC and the Middle East.
• Plan and execute field-based network projects, coordinating site readiness, access, logistics, resources, risks, scope, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Provide operational and on-site support to maintain service availability, reliability, and continuity.
• Coordinate with deployment and engineering teams, regulators, compliance, partners, suppliers, finance, sales, and other network stakeholders.
• Monitor service levels and contractual obligations, escalate operational issues, and drive resolution across multiple parties.
• Prepare management updates and implement network optimisation, process improvement, and automation initiatives to improve reliability, performance, quality, customer experience, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in field operations, network deployment, or infrastructure operations.
• Good understanding of data center operations and telecommunications networks, including MPLS, transmission, internet, cloud, and SD-WAN.
• Good experience managing network projects and working with cross-functional teams across different regions.
• Ability to diagnose operational and network challenges, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Ability to analyse complex technical and business requirements and convert them into actionable strategies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with stakeholders from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
