Infrastructure Security Engineer (AI)

Location: United States (Remote) or Canada (Remote)

Salary: $200K–$300K plus equity; final compensation depends on location, seniority, and technical depth.

hirify.global builds infrastructure for developing, testing, deploying, scaling, and observing voice AI agents in production, including audio, video, and data systems.

What you will do

• Map the security posture of cloud and production infrastructure and document the baseline.
• Identify risks that could cause customer data loss or infrastructure compromise, prioritize the security debt backlog with engineering, and remediate the highest-risk items.
• Harden identity, secrets, and network boundaries, including cloud IAM, environment separation, and credential hygiene.
• Secure infrastructure for customer-deployed voice AI agents, including tenant isolation, third-party model-provider secrets, and media and recording storage.
• Build secure defaults and guardrails into infrastructure as code.
• Partner with Compliance to map infrastructure controls to PCI-DSS and ISO 27001 and automate audit evidence.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, infrastructure engineering, or SRE, with a significant focus on infrastructure security.
• Hands-on experience securing AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerized workloads including Kubernetes.
• Experience owning infrastructure security for a production platform.
• Fluency with infrastructure as code such as Terraform, plus strong scripting and automation skills in Go or Python.
• Ability to assess risk pragmatically, explain its business impact, and determine remediation urgency.
• Ability to think as both a builder and breaker and understand security from first principles.
• Automation-first and pragmatic approach to risk mitigation, ability to translate security concerns into engineering action, and ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Fast learning ability and comfort working in ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time media, networking, or WebRTC systems.
• AI security experience, including securing LLM applications or agent infrastructure.
• Incident response or application security experience.
• Experience supporting PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or HIPAA compliance audits.
