Principal Security Engineer (Cloud Security)

Location: United States (Remote). Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored visa support.

Salary: $132,232–$242,425 USD per year.

What you will do

• Define long-term security architecture and strategy across cloud, infrastructure, application, platform, and operational security.
• Own the HackerOne bug bounty program, including triage, severity assessment, remediation coordination, and researcher communication.
• Lead security architecture reviews and establish secure design, implementation, and deployment standards for cloud-native systems.
• Build detection engineering and security monitoring on the Coralogix observability stack.
• Lead threat modeling, vulnerability management, security investigations, incident response, and post-incident improvements.
• Mentor security and engineering teams while driving security automation, governance, and technical standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, infrastructure security, or cloud security.
• Advanced Kubernetes security expertise covering workload protection, container security, platform hardening, and runtime security.
• Expert-level Linux administration, hardening, automation, troubleshooting, and system security experience.
• Production-quality automation and tooling experience with Go, Python, or a comparable language.
• Experience across cloud, application, infrastructure, identity and access management, and security operations, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with SaaS, cloud infrastructure, networking, or platform engineering environments.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, software supply chain security, Infrastructure-as-Code security, and CI/CD security controls.
• Experience designing security architectures across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, and related security frameworks.
• CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, CKS, cloud security certifications, or a master’s degree.
