Intern Software QA Test Engineer (AI)

Location: Gdansk, Poland; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work.

Minimum annual base salary: 68,880 PLN.

What you will do

• Plan, execute, and document functional and non-functional tests for infrastructure and software components.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and testing tools, and support test automation integration into CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute regression, integration, performance, and reliability tests; analyze results and system health indicators.
• Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and assist with defect reporting and tracking.
• Collaborate with software developers, DevOps engineers, and QA engineers to improve product quality, testability, and coverage.
• Contribute to test plans, documentation, quality metrics, and improvements using automation and AI-assisted solutions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of software testing concepts and quality assurance principles.
• Basic programming or scripting experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, Java, or a similar language.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and automated testing.
• Basic knowledge of Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills; attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with test automation frameworks such as PyTest, Robot Framework, Selenium, or Playwright.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or New Relic.
• Experience with performance or load testing tools.
• Interest in AI-assisted testing and automation.
