Product Design Intern

Location: San Francisco or New York; hybrid work with in-office attendance 3 days per week. The 12-week summer internship runs May–August 2027 or June–September 2027 and is intended for students graduating between December 2027 and June 2028.

Compensation: $47 per hour.

What you will do

• Build and ship a product feature that supports the creator economy and helps creators turn their passions into sustainable careers.
• Apply user-centered design to connect product strategy with design execution.
• Develop visual designs, interaction designs, and prototypes.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and other designers to bring the project to life.
• Experiment with new ideas and build a product experience from 0 to 1.
• Learn through mentorship, hands-on design challenges, and feedback.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, UI/UX, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
• Creative portfolio demonstrating experience bridging thoughtful product strategy with design execution through user-centered design.
• Foundation in visual design, interaction design, and prototyping.
• Curiosity, willingness to experiment with new ideas, and enthusiasm for building from 0 to 1.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow through feedback.
• Genuine passion for hirify.global’s mission and supporting the creator economy.
