AVP, Data Center Network Engineer

Location: Fort Mill/Charlotte; hybrid work arrangement.

Base salary: $103,618.00–$172,628.00 per year.

What you will do

• Engineer and architect data center, cloud, LAN/WAN, and hybrid networking solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Configure and deploy networking technologies, including MPLS, DIA, and SD-WAN.
• Own the network domain within the disaster recovery strategy.
• Collaborate with teams across the organization and troubleshoot issues through root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Act as technical lead, driving team direction and mentoring team members.

Requirements

• 10+ years of data center core network engineering and architecture experience in a Cisco-centric environment.
• 2+ years of experience with Cisco NDO and ACI, Nexus, and Catalyst.
• 2+ years of experience in large transformation programs.
• 2+ years of data center migration and hybrid cloud networking experience.
• Strong knowledge of network engineering, network security, and firewalls.
• Expert knowledge of dynamic routing protocols including OSPF and BGP.
• Experience designing, architecting, planning, and implementing routing, switching, and data center solutions in a multi-vendor environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects, collaborate effectively, and communicate complex technology to others with business acumen.

Nice to have

• CCIE certification.
• Hands-on Cisco ACI experience and architecture-level expertise with Nexus 9000, 7000, 5000, and 2000 switches.
• Current Cisco Certified Design Professional and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional certification.
• Infoblox DNS/DHCP expertise.
• AWS or Azure cloud networking experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
