Senior Solutions Engineer (DHS)

Location: Field-DC / Washington, D.C., United States; hybrid or remote options are available subject to customer requirements. Travel up to 30% to customer sites in the Washington, D.C. metro area and occasionally out of town.

Annual base pay: $163,400–$245,000, plus possible incentive compensation, bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical advisor for the Department of Homeland Security, aligning hirify.global application security, multi-cloud networking, and API protection solutions with agency requirements.
• Design secure application delivery architectures, systems engineering layouts, and hybrid or multi-cloud integration blueprints.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, customized solution designs, and proof-of-concept engagements.
• Map hirify.global strategy and product value to DHS modernization objectives, identify and qualify technical opportunities, and support budgeting and procurement cycles.
• Develop technical account plans with the Account Manager, collaborate with engineering, product management, support, and partner teams, and contribute to technical content.
• Manage customer escalations and critical incidents, support post-sales transitions, mentor peers, and maintain customer relationships.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret security clearance is required. Active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility is highly preferred; the posting also specifies active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
• 8+ years of technical experience in a dynamic, high-tech environment and a BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of successful pre-sales engineering or technical consulting experience; Federal or SLED experience is highly preferred.
• Hands-on systems administration across UNIX/Linux and Windows, with strong application-layer awareness.
• Strong LAN/WAN networking and architecture expertise, including Layer 4–7 traffic management, routing, switching, firewalls, and DDoS mitigation.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts.
• Experience with hirify.global BIG-IP technologies, including LTM, DNS/GTM, AFM, SSLo, and WAF/ASM.
• Understanding of AWS, Azure, GCP, public and hybrid cloud architectures, plus Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, CloudFormation, and ARM templates.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD methodologies, SAST/DAST or API security frameworks, and scripting or programming with Python, Bash, iRules/Tcl, Node.js, JavaScript, or C.
