Associate Producer, MS NOW Podcasts

Location: Hybrid, New York, NY, United States; must be willing to work varied shifts as news and production needs change.

Salary: USD 75,000–80,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Support podcast production end to end across multiple news and politics podcasts and projects, occasionally leading junior-level assignments.
• Manage recording logistics, including shipping microphone kits, booking studios, and maintaining calendars.
• Organize incoming and file tape, research stories, prepare research materials, and draft scripts and metadata.
• Edit audio and video, review episode mixes, and provide feedback to audio engineers and video editors.
• Produce social clips and other social media materials, order YouTube graphics, and support bonus, Premium, DTC, and audio-only content.
• Manage listener mail, show websites, folders, and unit documents where applicable; backfill lead show producers when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of audio production experience, preferably in podcasting.
• At least 1 year of video editing experience, preferably for YouTube podcasting.
• Technical expertise in Pro Tools, Descript, and Premiere.
• Experience handling multiple projects under deadline.
• Knowledge of current video and podcasting trends, news and politics, and journalism ethics.
• Unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
• Willingness to work in New York, NY and varied shifts as news and production needs change.
