Senior AI-Augmented Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Build and deliver product features, APIs, integrations, internal tools, and engineering improvements.
• Use Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and other approved AI coding agents to implement solutions, explore alternatives, generate tests, and improve code.
• Contribute across requirements clarification, design, implementation, testing, deployment, support, and production readiness.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, readability, and architectural consistency; identify hallucinations and subtle defects.
• Write unit and integration tests, debug root causes, maintain documentation, and participate in code reviews.
• Own features and technical improvements, communicate risks and blockers, collaborate with the team lead and another software engineer, and progressively take responsibility for more complex systems.

Requirements

• Foundational programming experience from professional work, internships, academic projects, or substantial personal projects.
• Working knowledge of at least one programming language relevant to the technology stack.
• Understanding of data structures, control flow, APIs, debugging, version control, and core software engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices.
• Ability to break problems into smaller steps, investigate unfamiliar concepts, and learn technologies independently.
• Interest in using AI tools for software development and willingness to learn prompting, context management, and code validation.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, clear communication, ability to ask for help, ownership, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to reliable software.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, or comparable agentic development tools.
• Experience building applications, APIs, integrations, automation scripts, or other working software.
• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD, cloud platforms, containers, or relational databases.
• Experience reading, debugging, and extending existing codebases rather than working exclusively on greenfield projects.
• Examples of using AI to build a project, solve a difficult technical problem, or improve an existing implementation.
• Interest in learning multiple application-stack layers and contributing beyond narrowly defined coding tasks.
