DSM/MBD Engineer Intern (Vehicle Dynamics)

Location: hirify.global, Wisconsin, United States; willingness to work in hirify.global during the summer is required.

Salary: $18.00–$37.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Assist the modeling and simulation engineering team with multibody dynamics and vehicle dynamics analysis.
• Learn and use Adams/View, Adams/Car, and other modeling and simulation tools for vehicle chassis, suspension, steering, brakes, and related systems.
• Develop and use custom software tools to process, analyze, and automate simulations.
• Perform model validation and correlation using available data to assess model accuracy.
• Complete discrete MBD modeling tasks, analyze simulation results, and prepare technical reports.
• Provide feedback to the product development team based on simulation results.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering field.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in hirify.global during the summer.

Nice to have

• Hands-on vehicle experience, such as Formula SAE or Baja SAE.
• Vehicle dynamics and/or mechanical engineering simulation experience.
• Software development and/or data processing experience.
• Knowledge of Adams/View, Adams/Car, and Python programming or similar languages.
