Senior Global Bookkeeper & Payroll Accountant

Location: Hod Hasharon, Israel; remote workplace type, with the role described as hybrid.

What you will do

• Own day-to-day bookkeeping in NetSuite for Israeli, UK, and US entities, including accounts payable, vendor reconciliations, payments, corporate cards, bank and cash reconciliations, and multi-currency accounting.
• Manage monthly close activities including accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intercompany balances, recurring journal entries, audit schedules, and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with external accounting firms for UK and US bookkeeping, statutory filings, financial statements, and annual audits.
• Run the monthly payroll cycle for Israel, the UK, the US, and Spain, including payroll inputs, employee lifecycle changes, provider coordination, and payroll result checks.
• Process Israeli payroll in Hashavim by Hilan, calculate and claim reserve-duty payments, and prepare final settlements and Form 161.
• Use AI tools and help design and maintain AI agents that automate recurring finance checks and other routine work.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a bookkeeper and payroll accountant, including hands-on Israeli payroll experience with Hashavim or Hilan payroll software.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite.
• Experience with Mesh and Dokka.
• Experience with multiple entities and multiple currencies, including foreign subsidiaries.
• Strong knowledge of Israeli VAT, withholding tax, National Insurance, and payroll regulations, including pensions, recuperation pay, reserve duty, and final settlements.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and SUMIFS.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work autonomously, own processes end to end, stay highly organized and accurate, and meet close and payroll deadlines.
• High discretion when handling confidential salary data.

• Practical experience with AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot in finance work.
• Experience building or maintaining AI agents or automated workflows.
• Experience managing international payroll through outsourced providers.
• Certified payroll accountant qualification.
• Experience with Zip, HiBob, or Navan.
• Experience working with external accounting firms abroad.
