Senior Software Quality Engineer (Manufacturing and Supply Chain)

What you will do

• Define and execute risk-based quality strategies for industrial software across planning, scheduling, optimization, production, and supply chain workflows.
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated tests across API, integration, system, regression, and user-interface layers.
• Plan and perform exploratory, functional, integration, regression, performance, reliability, security, upgrade, smoke, and compatibility testing based on product risk.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, Quality Engineering peers, Agile Team Leads, and Architecture to improve testability, clarify acceptance criteria, prevent defects, and drive issues to resolution.
• Own quality activities for complex features from refinement through validation, release readiness, and post-release learning.
• Improve automation frameworks, test data, environments, CI/CD quality gates, reporting, and traceability; mentor engineers and promote consistent quality practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Typically 5+ years of professional software quality engineering or software testing experience for enterprise, scientific, engineering, or industrial software.
• Strong experience designing test strategies and building maintainable automated tests using one or more programming or scripting languages.
• Experience testing APIs, services, databases, desktop or web applications, and integrations across a modern software stack.
• Working knowledge of source control, defect management, CI/CD, test environments, test data, and software development lifecycle practices.
• Ability to assess risk, diagnose complex failures, communicate quality status, and drive issues to resolution.
• Experience collaborating across Product, Development, Quality Engineering, and Architecture roles in Agile delivery.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, technical writing, and presentation skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Manufacturing and Supply Chain, planning and scheduling, refinery or petrochemical workflows, mathematical modeling, or optimization.
• Experience with C#/.NET, C++, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, SQL, or comparable technologies.
• Experience with test automation frameworks, performance testing, security testing, cloud technologies, containers, telemetry, or observability.
• Experience identifying root causes and troubleshooting during critical development stages.
• Exposure to SAFe or another scaled Agile framework, plus experience mentoring engineers or leading quality activities for complex features.
