TL;DR
Software QA Engineer II (Software Testing/Automation): Designing and executing software testing activities, identifying defects, and supporting automated testing throughout the development lifecycle with an accent on Agile collaboration and product quality. Focus on validating new features, improving automation practices, and solving quality challenges alongside software engineers in an onsite engineering team.

Location: Onsite in Apodaca, Mexico, at Parque de Investigación e Innovación Tecnológica (PIIT)

What you will do

  • Design and execute software testing activities throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with developers and cross-functional engineering teams in an Agile environment.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects.
  • Support and improve automated testing efforts.
  • Validate new features and product enhancements before release.
  • Contribute ideas that improve quality, efficiency, and testing practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Software QA, testing, or a related role.
  • Experience collaborating with software development teams and familiarity with test automation.
  • Solid programming fundamentals, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
  • Excellent English communication skills and availability to work onsite in Apodaca.
