What you will do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using C# and .NET.
- Build and optimize high-performance APIs, microservices, and backend systems for fintech products.
- Develop payment processing, transaction management, reconciliation, settlement, and financial reporting solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design decisions, and cross-functional requirements analysis.
- Write maintainable, documented code, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
- Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, scalability, and security, and contribute to CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of fintech experience.
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable applications with C# and .NET.
- Experience building high-performance APIs, microservices, and backend systems for fintech products.
- Experience developing payment processing, transaction management, reconciliation, settlement, and financial reporting solutions.
- Experience participating in architecture discussions and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and follow industry best practices.
- Experience with code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, production troubleshooting, and minimizing downtime.
- Ability to implement backend controls supporting PCI-DSS and secure handling of sensitive input fields, and ensure consent flows and data collection UI comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.
