Pattern Maker (Apparel)

Location: Remote from the Philippines; candidates living in or near Quezon City are prioritized. Working hours are 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM Philippine Time, Monday to Friday.

Salary: Starting at $1,000 base per month, depending on experience.

hirify.global is an NYC-based custom apparel company building and scaling a supplier ecosystem and supply chain operations.

What you will do

• Develop accurate, production-ready sewing patterns from technical specifications, measurements, design references, technical drawings, approved samples, and technical packs.
• Create and maintain pattern grading across required size ranges and ensure consistent, proportional fit.
• Review samples and fitting results and adjust patterns to resolve fit, measurement, sewing, and construction issues.
• Apply fabric knowledge across woven, knit, stretch, lace, and elastic materials to support appropriate pattern and construction decisions.
• Collaborate asynchronously with Design, Ops, Sourcing, and overseas manufacturers to clarify requirements and resolve sampling and production issues.
• Maintain pattern files, revisions, measurements, technical documentation, and digital files, while identifying improvements to pattern development and production processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in garment pattern making, preferably in an apparel manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fitting, measurements, grading, and pattern development, including the ability to identify and resolve pattern-related production issues.
• Experience creating production-ready patterns for sewn garments, including digital pattern grading and pattern modification.
• Proficiency in CAD pattern-making software such as Gerber AccuMark, Lectra, Optitex, or similar systems.
• Strong understanding of fabric types and how fabric characteristics affect pattern development, fit, and construction.
• Ability to interpret technical packs, measurement specifications, construction details, sketches, and approved samples.
• Strong attention to detail, measurement accuracy, analytical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and revision management.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple pattern development projects and garment styles, meet deadlines, and work with limited supervision.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, clear communication with manufacturers and internal stakeholders, reliable internet, a suitable work-from-home setup, and willingness to work with teams across different time zones.

Nice to have

• Experience with apparel sampling and fitting.
• Experience with women’s streetwear apparel.
• Familiarity with 3D apparel software such as CLO3D or Browzwear.
