Sr. Designer, Men's Ready-to-Wear

Location: Hybrid role based in New York, New York, USA, at the corporate headquarters.

Base pay range: $120,000–$130,000 annually.

What you will do

• Develop seasonal commercial men's ready-to-wear concepts and runway direction aligned with the Coach creative vision.
• Lead visual, vintage, and trend research and translate insights into commercial assortments and runway concepts.
• Develop wovens, denim, and collection products while partnering with materials teams on fabrics, trims, quality, and price points.
• Collaborate with design, merchandising, product development, technical design, print, and concept teams to deliver cohesive, market-right products.
• Mentor junior designers, manage team output, and maintain deadlines and business objectives.
• Oversee design development from concept through commercialization, including design cards, fittings, samples, presentations, quality, and brand integrity.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of design experience and a bachelor’s degree in design or a related field.
• Strong fashion sense, trend interpretation, passion for ready-to-wear, and the ability to grow a commercial business.
• Knowledge of ready-to-wear, garment construction, material technology, fabric quality, and garment performance.
• Ability to conduct model fittings independently and understand garment fit.
• Excellent hand-sketching skills, including freeform garment renderings and renderings on figure drawings.
• Ability to create CAD technical drawings and perform image manipulation.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, adaptability, attention-to-detail, and follow-up skills.
