Company

hirify.global develops aerospace and defense systems powered by Coherent Distributed Networks, with products supporting warfighters, commercial air operators, and border protection teams. Founded in 2022, the company has raised $1 billion and operates across five global offices.

What you will do

  • Develop, integrate, maintain, and validate 3-DOF and 6-DOF flight and engagement simulations for missiles, interceptors, guided weapons, and related flight vehicles.
  • Implement models for equations of motion, coordinate transformations, rigid-body dynamics, numerical integration, vehicle states, environments, aerodynamics, propulsion, actuators, sensors, seekers, targets, threats, launch systems, staging, and separation events.
  • Integrate guidance, navigation, estimation, autopilot, control-law, seeker, tracker, fire-control, tactical, embedded flight-software, and hardware models into closed-loop, SIL, SITL, HITL, HWIL, real-time, and batch environments.
  • Evaluate trajectory and engagement performance, conduct design trades, and perform error-budget, Monte Carlo, sensitivity, uncertainty, covariance, design-of-experiments, and robustness analyses.
  • Translate requirements into simulation cases, performance measures, verification methods, test scenarios, preflight predictions, and expected-performance envelopes.
  • Analyze telemetry, laboratory, ground-test, captive-carry, flight-test, and range data; perform postflight reconstruction, model correlation, parameter estimation, and discrepancy resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering, computer science, physics, applied mathematics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
  • Relevant missile or flight-vehicle modeling and simulation experience, including flight dynamics, GNC, trajectory analysis, weapon-system performance, or a closely related field.
  • Hands-on experience with 3-DOF or 6-DOF dynamic simulations and strong fundamentals in flight mechanics, rigid-body dynamics, coordinate systems, numerical integration, control or estimation, and dynamic-system analysis.
  • Depth in at least one missile modeling area, including vehicle modeling, guidance, flight control, navigation and estimation, trajectory optimization, seeker or terminal-engagement integration, or real-time, HITL, or HWIL simulation.
  • Strong programming ability in MATLAB, Python, C++, or another scientific or analytical environment.
  • Experience with Monte Carlo, error-budget, sensitivity, robustness, uncertainty-quantification, or design-of-experiments analysis.
  • Experience validating or correlating dynamic models against analytical references, subsystem, laboratory, ground-test, telemetry, flight-test, range, or other authoritative data.
  • Experience with system requirements, subsystem interfaces, test objectives, verification methods, performance criteria, Git, code review, automated testing, issue tracking, continuous integration, and reproducible workflows.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound technical judgments, document assumptions and limitations, and collaborate across engineering disciplines. Active Secret clearance required.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or higher in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience with tactical or strategic missiles, ballistic systems, interceptors, cruise missiles, air- or ground-launched weapons, hypersonic vehicles, launch vehicles, or other advanced guided flight systems.
  • Experience with guidance laws, autopilots, control laws, state estimators, Kalman filters, multisensor navigation, classical, modern, robust, optimal, adaptive, or nonlinear control.
  • Experience with trajectory optimization, optimal control, multidisciplinary design optimization, launch-zone, intercept, or engageability analysis.
  • Experience modeling aerodynamics, propulsion, boost phase, thrust-vector control, staging, separation, mass properties, seekers, target tracking, fire control, fuzing, lethality, or endgame performance.
  • Experience integrating embedded or tactical software, supporting flight tests and range operations, analyzing telemetry, conducting postflight reconstruction, or resolving flight anomalies.
  • Experience with large-scale or high-performance Monte Carlo, parallel, cloud, or cluster simulation; MBSE; requirements traceability; formal V&V; or simulation-credibility assessments.
  • Experience supporting DoD, DARPA, AFRL, ONR, MDA, NAVAIR, DEVCOM, intelligence-community, or advanced aerospace programs. Active or eligible Top Secret / SCI clearance is preferred.

Culture & Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits fully paid by the company.
  • 401(k) with a 50% company match up to 6% of pay, FSA, HSA, and life insurance.
  • Free daily lunch, no-meeting Fridays, unlimited PTO, and casual dress code.
  • Relocation assistance, pre-IPO stock options, and annual bonuses planned.
  • Approximately 250 employees across five global offices.
