Human Resources Business Partner (Hospitality)

Location: St. Andrews, United Kingdom; onsite at the Old Course Hotel.

Salary: £40,000–£44,000 per annum, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Partner with Heads of Department and managers to deliver people solutions across the hotel.
• Advise on employee relations matters, including absence, performance, conduct, grievances, flexible working, and family leave.
• Coach and develop managers, build management capability, and provide constructive challenge.
• Manage complex employee relations casework, investigations, hearings, and appeals.
• Support organisational change, workforce planning, engagement, recruitment, onboarding, and talent development.
• Support Workday implementation and continuous improvement, using people data and workforce insights to inform decisions.

Requirements

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or progress toward it.
• Previous HR Business Partner, Senior HR Adviser, or similar experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong employee relations experience and current knowledge of UK employment legislation.
• Experience coaching and influencing managers on a wide range of people matters.
• Excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building, and communication skills, including confidence to challenge constructively.
• Experience managing complex employee relations cases.
• Experience using HR data and reporting to support business decisions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience in hospitality, leisure, retail, or another customer-focused environment.
• Experience supporting organisational change or transformation initiatives.
• Experience supporting HR systems implementation or HRIS transformation, ideally Workday.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and simplifying HR processes.
• Chartered CIPD membership.
