Senior Fullstack Engineer (AI)

Location: Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Hybrid work is required, with colleagues expected to work from the local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week.

What you will do

• Design, prototype, and build digital products and agentic AI solutions for clients and colleagues.
• Collaborate with teams in Cluj, Dublin, Romania, Ireland, and across hirify.global to turn ideas into usable products.
• Develop proof of concepts, gather user feedback, and iterate rapidly.
• Contribute across the full Agile delivery lifecycle, including design, development, deployment, and support.
• Improve engineering standards for prompt engineering, testing, reuse, documentation, and maintainability.
• Stay current with full-stack engineering, LLMs, and agent-based AI systems while sharing knowledge and supporting continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience, with scope aligned to the candidate's level.
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with a modern frontend framework such as Angular; React is also welcome.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and service integration.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach.

Nice to have

• Experience building or integrating AI agents, orchestration frameworks, or LLM APIs.
• Experience with testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and production support.
• Awareness of security, privacy, and responsible AI considerations.
• Experience mentoring others or helping define technical standards.
