Senior Writer, Borrowing (Fintech)

Location: Cardiff, London, or remote within the UK; the London option uses a hybrid office-and-home-working approach.

Salary: £68,000–£88,800 base salary per year.

What you will do

• Write and improve content for borrowing and credit products, including loans, credit cards and overdrafts.
• Create in-app screens and other customer-facing content in collaboration with Product Design.
• Develop positioning and messaging toolkits for web, growth marketing and CRM with Product Marketing.
• Participate in user research and use research and data to guide writing decisions.
• Write error messages with engineers and edit legal wording with in-house lawyers.
• Contribute to Writing resources, training and processes, and help improve writing quality across hirify.global.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of borrowing and credit products.
• Experience with content design, UX writing or product writing.
• Ability to write clearly and avoid unnecessary jargon and complicated language.
• Ability to use data and research to guide the writing approach.
• Comfort switching between tasks and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to question briefs and explain the reasoning behind proposed approaches.
• Previous writing experience; this is not an entry-level writing role.
• Willingness to work collaboratively across the company and make independent decisions about which challenges to address and how.

Hiring process

• Recruiter call followed by an initial 30-minute call with the Hiring Manager.
• Take-home task to submit within seven days.
• Two interviews via Google Meet, each lasting up to 60 minutes; the process is expected to take around three to four weeks.
