Forecast Analyst (Clinical Trial Finance)

What you will do

• Become the subject matter expert for the Clinical Trial Payment forecasting service and support forecast quality for assigned studies.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to understand clinical trials and their forecasting requirements.
• Build and adjust baseline forecast assumptions, work with IT to load them into the forecast model, and maintain forecast accuracy throughout each trial.
• Produce, distribute, explain, and support forecast reports for end users.
• Analyze and validate forecast outputs against actual data, create ad hoc reports, and support operational improvement initiatives.
• Drive QA testing for forecasting application developments and enhancements.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of work experience, preferably in pharmaceutical clinical trials, finance, or IT.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
• Intermediate knowledge of the principles, theories, and concepts of a relevant job area, typically obtained through advanced education and experience.
• Working knowledge of clinical trial processes, ideally including investigator contracts and essential site documents.
• Experience in financial forecasting, accrual reporting, and analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong Microsoft Office and PC skills.
• Experience with a business intelligence or commercial reporting application such as MicroStrategy, Spotfire, or Business Objects, or the ability to learn such tools quickly.
• Strong numerical, finance, data analysis, attention-to-detail, organizational, documentation, interpersonal, and customer-oriented communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment, and remain flexible as business needs require.
