Frontend Software Engineer (React)

Location: Remote within Romania

The role supports a client delivering point-of-sale and store operations solutions to retailers across multiple markets.

What you will do

• Build complex, responsive user interfaces with React and the project's frontend framework.
• Write clean, testable code with unit and end-to-end tests, and review peer code.
• Design component structures, manage state, and integrate frontend applications with APIs and GraphQL.
• Optimize load times and rendering performance, while ensuring accessibility compliance, security against XSS and similar risks, and consistent behavior across browsers and devices.
• Translate UX designs into working interfaces and align API contracts with backend developers.
• Mentor junior developers and share frontend best practices.

Requirements

• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
• Experience with CSS-in-JS, specifically PandaCSS.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to discussions.
• Independent, self-driven, and autonomous approach to work, with ownership of tasks and decisions.
• Regular use of AI tools to improve productivity, automate or reduce repetitive work, support decision-making, and deliver higher-quality outcomes.
• Ability to use AI tools responsibly by creating effective prompts, critically validating outputs, understanding limitations, and taking ownership of final results.

Nice to have

• Experience with Node.js.
• Experience with headless CMS platforms, preferably Contentful.
• Experience with Playwright.
