Mid/Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania; office work is encouraged with the possibility of up to two remote days per week. A work-from-almost-anywhere policy is also available.

Gross salary: €3,500–€6,800 per month, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, validate, and iterate machine learning solutions for churn prevention, fraud detection, customer lifetime value prediction, and scam identification.
• Build clean, efficient, and testable Python code for data pipelines, feature engineering, modeling, and evaluation.
• Own models end to end, from problem framing and data exploration through model selection, validation, deployment, and iteration.
• Explore and apply established algorithms and state-of-the-art machine learning techniques while balancing performance, complexity, and real-world impact.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to turn ambiguous problems into concrete, data-driven solutions.
• Communicate findings, decisions, trade-offs, and outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience in applied machine learning, independently owning and delivering projects from problem definition to validated results or production.
• Strong machine learning background, including hands-on modeling of structured and unstructured data.
• Advanced Python skills and the ability to write clean, efficient, maintainable code.
• Solid SQL skills and experience working with large, imperfect, real-world datasets.
• Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals, model evaluation, and common failure modes.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into practical machine learning solutions, make informed technical decisions, and communicate results and trade-offs clearly.
• Experience with collaborative development practices, including version control, code reviews, testing, and reproducible experimentation.
• Comfort with AI-assisted coding tools while maintaining high standards for code quality, correctness, and maintainability.
