Customs Classification Specialist (12 Months Temporary Contract)

What you will do

• Manage research, drafting, and submission of Classification Binding Rulings.
• Contribute to processes supporting hirify.global Supply action plans and strategic roadmaps.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on customs classification matters.
• Maintain evidence-based reasoning and documentation for classification decisions.
• Support tariff classification during customs audits by preparing well-reasoned, evidence-based justifications.

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of customs tariff classification, including strong command of the Harmonized System and tariff classification principles.
• Demonstrated expertise in obtaining rulings using the relevant submission tools.
• Good understanding of digital tools used for classification.
• Analytical skills and a solid understanding of analysis tools.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Understanding of import, export, and other customs regulations.
• Knowledge of the hirify.global value chain.
• Experience standardizing classification processes and improving data quality.
• Knowledge of Global Trade Management products and platforms.
