Analyst/Senior Analyst, Cell Culture Development (Biotech)

Location: Tuas, Singapore; primarily laboratory-based with remote administrative work available for 20% of the time, one day per week. Weekend and public-holiday work may be required on a rotational schedule.

What you will do

• Perform hands-on upstream cell culture laboratory work supporting the development of processes suitable for cGMP manufacturing.
• Run mammalian cell culture processes using subcultures, ambr15 and ambr250 miniaturized bioreactors, rocking bioreactors, and 10L laboratory-scale bioreactors.
• Support process characterization through laboratory-scale studies and develop an understanding of manufacturing facility constraints.
• Interpret analytical data to define subsequent development steps.
• Collaborate with site and global project teams to deliver project stages on time.
• Participate in weekend and public-holiday work on a rotational basis.

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant Science field or equivalent.
• Practical laboratory experience in cell culture and laboratory-scale bioreactor runs.
• Understanding of the theory and application of recombinant protein expression using mammalian cell culture systems.
• Good understanding of cGMP regulations.
• Good problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills.
• Availability for weekend work on a rota-based system.

Nice to have

• Experience with culture conditions for mammalian suspension cells.
