Solution Architect (Identity Governance)

Location: Hybrid, Tokyo office / Work from Home, Japan; approximately 20%–30% domestic travel, primarily in the Kanto metropolitan area with occasional travel to Kansai and Nagoya, plus occasional international travel for APJ meetings or global training.

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery with Japanese enterprise stakeholders and translate business use cases into identity architectures, data schemas, and integration designs.
• Author HLD, LLD, data-mapping, and integration specifications for IdentityIQ and Identity Security Cloud.
• Design and implement integrations with Active Directory, LDAP, Entra ID, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, AWS, Azure, and GCP using Java, BeanShell, SQL, REST APIs, SCIM, TypeScript/NodeJS, and webhooks.
• Enable Japanese system integrators and global system integrators through methodology guidance, technical reviews, design audits, architecture sign-offs, and partner workshops.
• Define project scope, WBS, estimates, test cases, technical risk plans, and delivery assurance activities including SIT, UAT, performance tuning, security remediation, and production cutovers.
• Advise Japanese IT directors, CISOs, and enterprise architects while representing Japanese customer requirements to global Product and Engineering teams.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in enterprise software, systems integration, or IT consulting, including 3+ years directly leading enterprise software implementations.
• Strong programming proficiency in Java, BeanShell/JavaScript, SQL, and relational databases including Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory or Entra ID, LDAP directories, and RBAC/ABAC methodologies.
• Working proficiency with REST APIs, SCIM, XML, SOAP, JSON, and web/application servers such as Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, or JBoss.
• Experience deploying and configuring solutions on Windows Server and Linux/Unix distributions.
• Native Japanese proficiency, including the ability to conduct technical discovery workshops, author detailed Japanese technical documentation, and communicate with senior enterprise stakeholders.
• Professional working English proficiency for global engineering standups, technical release notes, international escalation collaboration, and corporate training.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with NodeJS, TypeScript, Python, and front-end frameworks such as React or Angular for custom cloud integrations.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform IaaS/PaaS.
• Experience with hirify.global IdentityIQ, Identity Security Cloud, or competing IAM/IGA platforms including Oracle OIG, IBM Security Verify, Saviynt, Ping Identity, or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience integrating SAP ERP, Workday, ServiceNow, Salesforce, or other complex enterprise applications.
• hirify.global Certified Engineer or Solution Architect, CISSP, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, or TOGAF certification.
