Finance Director (Marketing)

Location: Madrid, Spain; fully remote within Spain

What you will do

• Lead and mentor bookkeeping, FP&A, and taxation/compliance teams.
• Oversee accounting policies and practices, budgeting, plan-versus-actual analysis, and financial reporting for the group of companies.
• Maintain internal controls, lead internal audits, and oversee tax filings, regulatory reporting, statutory compliance, tax planning, and optimization.
• Manage financial aspects of M&A transactions, including initial assessments, due diligence, and post-merger integration.
• Improve financial processes, systems, and reporting to increase efficiency, accuracy, and strategic relevance.
• Communicate financial performance and key metrics to executive management and manage relationships with banks, tax advisers, and external consultants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of finance experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with financial reporting, month-end and year-end processes, and IFRS/GAAP compliance.
• Experience in financial planning, analysis, and management within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with executive management and external stakeholders.
• Proactive nature, growth mindset, and self-regulation.
• Fluent English.
• Ability and desire to collaborate with a diverse, remote global team.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPA, or ACCA.
