Interior Architect/Designer (Medical & Commercial Fitouts)

Location: Remote from Metro Manila, Philippines; working hours aligned with Australian business hours.

hirify.global is recruiting for an Australian medical and commercial fitout specialist delivering end-to-end design and construction solutions across healthcare, dental, pharmacy, and commercial spaces.

What you will do

• Act as the initial point of contact for prospective clients, conduct discovery meetings, understand operational needs, and present concept designs.
• Develop space plans and coordinate layouts for reception areas, consultation rooms, dental surgeries, sterilization areas, amenities, and other specialized medical environments.
• Select durable and compliant materials, finishes, lighting, and custom joinery for healthcare and commercial applications.
• Advise clients on layout efficiency, material longevity, buildability, and commercial viability.
• Produce concept packages, layout coordination drawings, joinery details, and finishes schedules.
• Collaborate with Australian-based project managers, contracts administrators, and external engineering and building consultants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture and 4 to 6+ years of professional experience specializing in interior design, spatial planning, and commercial or healthcare fit-outs.
• Exceptional spoken and written English with a confident, consultative communication style for live discovery sessions and design concept presentations.
• Strong spatial intelligence, material and finish knowledge, and practical understanding of interior construction detailing and joinery design.
• Hands-on mastery of industry-standard design tools such as ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, or similar 3D rendering platforms.
• A reliable home office setup with high-speed internet and a dedicated working space.
• Ability to work aligned with Australian business hours.

Nice to have

• Previous experience on Australian fitout projects.
• Medical, dental, healthcare, or other commercial interior project experience.
• Familiarity with the Australian NCC/BCA, Australian Standards, and accessibility requirements relevant to fitout documentation.
• Experience working remotely with builders, project managers, and consultant teams.
• Experience developing reception designs, detailed joinery packages, and coordinated finishes schedules.
