Design Director (Revit)

Salary: $106,250.00–$125,000.00 per year

What you will do

• Provide strategic design leadership and subject-matter expertise across assigned client accounts, aligning design standards, workplace strategy, technology practices, and business objectives.
• Lead design governance, quality control, workflows, deliverable standards, escalation support, and consistent execution across teams and projects.
• Lead Revit implementation, technology transitions, workflow development, standards adoption, visualization improvements, training, and change management.
• Develop scalable design processes, templates, tools, workplace standards, and best practices for corporate design, workplace planning, and retail rollout programs.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a large design team while overseeing workload planning, resource alignment, coaching, accountability, and professional growth.
• Serve as the primary client and account-team design contact, coordinate external architects, engineers, and consultants, and provide executive-level reporting on performance, risks, staffing, timelines, SLAs, KPIs, and account health.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a CIDA-accredited institution in Architecture, Interior Design, Corporate Real Estate, Facilities, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in another major plus Interior Design certification, degree, or diploma.
• Seven or more years of experience in corporate real estate, workplace, design, or a related environment.
• 5–10 years of management experience, including direct leadership, coaching, development, workload planning, and performance support for design teams.
• Experience leading design services across multiple client accounts or business lines while balancing competing priorities, service models, stakeholder expectations, and project complexity.
• Experience developing and managing design standards, processes, templates, tools, and governance models across large or complex accounts.
• Experience leading technology implementation, process improvement, and change management initiatives in a design, workplace, or corporate real estate environment.
• Strong client-facing leadership experience, including advising, influencing, relationship-building, and presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite applications, plus proficiency in architectural and engineering drawings, design concepts, analysis, communication, presentation, attention to detail, and quality control.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage concurrent projects, own requests through completion, and deliver effective services with minimal supervision.
