Purchasing Intern

Location: Grand Rapids, MI; must be flexible to work onsite most, if not all, days. Some remote or hybrid opportunities may be considered.

What you will do

• Support purchasing and pricing functions through project-based work.
• Assist with data analysis and contribute to process improvements.
• Own and deliver one or more projects from start to finish during the 10–12-week internship.
• Address functional gaps and drive tangible value for the business and customers.
• Work alongside purchasing professionals and gain exposure to business units, departments, and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree at an accredited institution in supply chain management, business, or a related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Knowledge of common software packages and well-rounded computer skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to see, talk, and hear; ability to sit for 8 hours per day.
• Ability to work in a normal office environment.
• Customer focus, results orientation, accountability, responsibility, teamwork, collaboration, decision quality, technical expertise, and time management.
