Purchasing Specialist (EPC)

What you will do

• Execute and supervise cradle-to-grave purchasing activities for assigned commodity groups or projects, including bidding, evaluation, award, agreements, changes, and price and schedule negotiations.
• Negotiate supplier terms, volume discounts, long-term contracts, and commercial solutions for goods, services, and supplies.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and track and forecast category cost drivers and market factors.
• Develop category-specific sourcing strategies and consolidate the supplier base to support current and future project needs.
• Identify corrective actions for supplier quality and schedule issues and coordinate with Engineering, project management, operations, maintenance, and warehouse teams.
• Manage procurement closeout, claims, back-charges, punch list items, supplier partnerships, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management or Business, and/or 3+ years of Procurement and Supply Chain Management experience with a global EPC company executing contracts in industries such as Refining, LNG, petrochemical, or chemical.
• Experience with purchasing activities including bid, evaluation, award, agreement execution, change execution, price and schedule negotiations, and commercial strategy.
• Proven track record in cost reduction programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills for communicating goals, directives, commercial solutions, and concepts to procurement and non-procurement personnel.
• Ability to work in a complex, schedule-driven environment.
• Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office products, and ability to learn new software quickly.

Nice to have

• Ability to speak Mandarin.
• Experience in lump-sum procurement environments.
• Experience with international project locations.
